LEARNING TO DO IT YOURSELF

PVC Pipe Fittings, Size: 3 inch, Rs 1 /piece Kanan Plast | ID: 4762273633

Recently unfortunately my bathroom pipe water suffers heavy blockages. What a headache. I believe many people face the same problem before. Usually our solution is simple, just dial the nearest plumber and problem solved. If the problem are fixed with your plumber I sincerely adviced you to stick to the reliable plumber. But for me unfortunately my pipe still not pouring decently, the water poured very slow after some time. What a pain.

So I decided to do some inspection of my own and started a DIY project.  I grabbed a ladder, slowly and carefully climb it  and  get myself up to the  ceiling where the pipeline is located. Just to my surprise to find out that the tank along the pipeline is filled with dead cockroaches. Lucky for me to do my own inspection. Just imagine that I had been consuming contaminated water that are filled with dead cockroaches terrified me but at the bright  side it motivates me to do gradual inspections after this. Health always should be among our top priorities. Ok, one more task to do aside from repair the pipeline.

When I checked the metal pipeline and find that there are pieces of cockroaches and rust build ups  blocking the water from getting through, the best option for me is just to cut the blocked pipeline with an angle grinder and replaced it with the pvc ones. After doing the cutting and some measurements I went to a near hardware shop and buy some standard ½ inches pipe and continue my project.

Mmm, the metal pipe size is actually ¾ inches and I thought I had to take back the ½ inches pipe to be replaced but then I think it’s better to consult with the hardware seller. The seller is very friendly and advice me to buy a couple joint to connect both pipes of different sizes. It saves me a lot of trouble from carrying the pipes that I initially intended to replaced. I just followed all the instructions from the friendly seller and finally job done.

For me its always a best option to called a reliable plumber but it doesn’t hurt to occasionally do it yourself as sometimes you may find other issues at fault. And it’s always a good thing to learn sth new even as doing a very simple diy project.
