After a scrupulous research, we meticulously picked our main product, the Shea butter, a glorifying natural ingredient that has been gifted to us by the mother nature. It is vastly used in high end beauty brands to small business owners like us. We reached out several Shea butter distributors who have their own farm to learn about the Shea butter market and it was just shocking and saddening. Traditional Shea butter churning process consume immense about of labor hours. Children works to help their parents in various ways to reduce the work load. What's even saddening is 'NOT EVERY FARMER IS WEALTHY ENOUGH TO GET ORGANIC OR FAIR TRADE' certifications. So small range to medium range farmers have very less opportunities to export their Shea butter and make money since, us, the rest of the world mostly prefer the 'labeled' products because they're more reliable.
